education matters

Nobody should be deprived of an education; its power to instill a personal sense of worth and lead one to meaningful employment and livelihood security is essential to stop the vicious cycle of poverty. As Nelson Mandela was often quoted as saying, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

At Wolwedans, we share Tate Madiba’s passion for the power of education to effect change, providing in-kind and financial support to a number of educational institutions. We have also established a dedicated financing mechanism under the Wolwedans Foundation, known as the Education Assistance Fund, which is designed to ensure that the youth of Namibia have access to educational and training opportunities that will empower them to determine the prospects for their own future.
